The Nigeria Police Force has extended the grace period for tinted glass permit enforcement until August 12, 2025. This comes after several Nigerians raised concerns over the reactivation of the digital application system.
Force PRO, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, said the decision was made to allow more time to improve the process and make it easier for everyone to access. He also stressed that the police had not ignored public feedback. Instead, that feedback helped guide the ongoing updates.
The police are currently working on both online and in-person options to ensure a smoother experience. They plan to improve the verification steps, reduce delays, and remove any unnecessary stress from the system.
For those applying or renewing, the official portal remains https://possap.gov.ng. If you’re asked to pay any unofficial fees or face extortion during the process, you’re encouraged to report it through the hotline: 09169967000.
The police say they remain focused on public safety, better service, and digital innovation, without making things harder for citizens.
