Urgent Appeal for Reconstruction of Numba Koro Primary School in Niger State

Concern has grown rapidly regarding Numba Koro Primary School in Suleja LGA as it exists in an utterly deplorable condition in Niger State. The schoolchildren endured dangerous educational conditions for seven years because they lacked essential classroom infrastructure including roofs doors windows and toilets.

The schoolchildren lack basic furniture, they must rest on the ground whereas if they need to use the toilet, they are required to visit the nearby bush for that. People in concern have started to advocate forcefully to Governor Umar Bago and educational agencies to immediately implement solutions to this dangerous situation.

The advocates state that high-quality education cannot survive under these conditions. Citizens seek priority intervention from the state government together with Niger State Ministry of Education and Universal Basic Education Board to build an appropriate learning facility at Numba Koro.

The declining condition of this school reflects a widespread problem of insufficient educational facilities in rural educational institutions. Several stakeholders have stated the immediate necessity for action to halt educational deterioration in these children.

The public momentum is growing under the hashtag #FixOurSchools because people demand immediate action to ensure children never face inadequate school environments.
